China Eastern’s COMAC C919 Will Make Its 1st Flight Out Of Mainland China

On May 28, China Eastern Airlines took delivery of its sixth COMAC C919 aircraft, still being the only airline in the world to operate the type.

With a flight time of six hours, China Eastern Airlines’ direct route connects Shanghai in eastern China with Kashgar in the far west.

Under tremendous production pressure, COMAC has begun expanding its C919 production facilities.

China Southern Airlines was the first of China’s big three carriers to join an alliance, but also the first to exit.
