The platform at Melton railway station in Suffolk has been rejuvenated by scouts from Woodbridge in their quest for a new ‘Platforms for Change’ badge.
This August, engineers are to replace track between Woodbridge and Westerfield Junction in East Suffolk to prepare the line for increased freight traffic.
Customers using Saxmundham can now find out the history of the railway and the station thanks to a new information board installed near the station entrance.
