Network Rail has released a time-lapse video of the work carried out to repair a landslip in Shropshire that caused the line to be closed for three weeks.

Partial train services resume from Shropshire railway station
Train services have resumed at Telford Central station after work had progressed sufficiently to rectify the landslip that occurred near Wellington.

On 8 March a landslip between Oakengates and Wellington closed the line but is expected to reopen by the Easter bank holiday weekend.

Plans unveiled to run new direct Wrexham to London trains
Alstom, mainly known in the UK for its train manufacturing business, has plans to run an open access train operation providing a service from Wrexham to London Euston.
