Stealth aircraft (or, more properly, low-observable aircraft) are one hallmark of the US Air Force’s relative advantage over its rivals. Stealth aircraft are designed to avoid radar and minimize heat signatures, make them harder to see, and make them quieter (there are more ways than just radar to detect aircraft). The United States has long dominated the development and operation of stealth aircraft – both bombers and fighters (although some countries like China and perhaps Russia are working on developing stealth aircraft now).
