The Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar was a twin-boom twin-tail military transport plane designed and developed by Fairchild Aircraft. It was designed to carry troops and cargo for military missions and exercises, and performed its first flight in November 1947, according to the National Museum of the USAF.
