Boeing is a major US military contractor producing many of the US military’s aircraft (as well as aircraft for export) and one of the two major commercial passenger jet manufacturers. On October 8, Boeing released its 2024 year-to-date and third-quarter deliveries of all types (this is ahead of providing the third-quarter financial results on October 23). Boeing delivered 34 aircraft in the third quarter (including helicopters and rebuilds), bringing the year-to-date sum to 76 aircraft. This compares to 26 military aircraft deliveries in the third quarter of 2023. Boeing produces the F/A-18 Super Hornet and F-15EX Strike Eagle II fighter jets (military drones were apparently not included in its count).
