After 50 years, Air Malta is no more. It was replaced by KM Malta Airlines on March 31, with ‘KM’ being the IATA code of Air Malta and its replacement. Unsurprisingly, KM Malta will never be a big airline, but it is keen to grow. That’s good, as Cirium data indicates that it only has 22% of the country’s seat capacity this summer, against 50% for Ryanair.
