The Victorian regional rail network has been stopped largely with 3 key rail lines shutdown due to “safety concerns” at Footscray an inner western railway station.
Key lines to Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo are closed with Seymour attempting to recover the timetable. The issues with the Seymour Line appear to have been caused by a track fault north of Craigieburn.
Having 5 lines broken on a working day at the same time must be a new record for V/Line.
