Southwest is the world’s fourth-largest airline. In August 2024, it has 120,000 services, equivalent to 3,870 daily. Only American, Delta, and United are larger. Southwest, which will begin its first red-eye services soon, is so large that it operates one in 25 of the world’s flights. The carrier now has 816 Boeing 737-700s, 737-800s, and 737 MAX 8s.
