Never thought I’d live to see the day eating food becomes a crime.
California will arrest you for eating a sandwich in public but not for looting a business if you only get $950 or less not retail but the cost the store spent. Stay out of California is your best option.
On the bright side, it must be reassuring for California residents to know the streets are so safe from crime all the police have to do with their time is arrest people for the crime of eating a sandwich in a built up area.
I live near Metro stations. There are signs galore posted stating you can’t eat or drink or blast music.
Unless the criminal was from another state/country, he KNOWS you can’t eat on Metro property. He was only “arrested” because he kept disobeying.
