Interesting to see V/line is installing concrete sleepers on the country network that have already been used elsewhere.
I am not opposed to this as reuse of concrete sleepers and wooden if appropriate is a good use of the concept of recycling resources but let’s hope they have been checked and tested. Let’s hope it is due to a conscious decision to recycle sleepers that have a longer term useful life.
When are V/Line going to start fixing the network they have left in a dilapidated state where freight trains are unable to use these lines for customers?
Recycling of sleepers is a good thing however I had read that many of these sleepers were going to tourist operations and not commercial operators. Why has this changed as the tourist operates need them more.
