The 777X fleet, slated to be the world’s largest twin-engine widebody when it begins operations, has been grounded after a key component – said to be a structural component between the engine and the airframe – was found to be faulty.
Supermarket giant Coles has revealed the huge cost to its WA operations from floods that cut the crucial rail link to the Eastern States earlier this year and kept shelves bare for weeks.
Col. Brian T. Mulvihill, the commanding officer of Marine Rotational Force – Darwin (MRF-D) 24.3, said he backed the tilt-rotor aircraft, which was grounded for three months after being involved in two fatal incidents last year.
