After 18 months of cheap V/Line fares, overcrowding on weekend trains shows the system has become a “victim of its own success”, experts say.
V/Line has additional capacity available to add to the network but refuses to add more trains leaving carriages that can be used for extra capacity being vandalised and damaged in rail yards across the state.
Too hasty removal of older rolling stock before teething problems have being addressed current velocities fleet and fit for purpose designed rolling stock has purchased manufactured and fit to roll and put in service for long routes on the system!!!!
