Boeing’s Main 737 Door Plug Mechanic Was On Vacation During Final Assembly Of Alaska Airlines’ Blowout Aircraft

In interviews with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), a Boeing mechanic told the investigators that they were on vacation while the Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9s door plug was being repaired at the assembly line in Renton, Washington, the United States.
