August 2024 – Start of work
Work is starting to remove the Terania Street rail over road bridge. Read the latest project update (PDF, 267.7 KB) for more information.
Early removal work to remove the rail over road bridge will start on Monday 26 August. During this early work including initial site preparation, Terania Street will remain open to pedestrians and light vehicles only. This work is expected to take four weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Demolition work would follow requiring the closure of Terania Street to all pedestrians and vehicles.
Demolition and associated work are scheduled to occur between the 23 September and 18 October. We will keep the community up to date as we progress.
