Have you ever wondered which way the rotors spin when the engine is running? While passengers sitting near the power plants, particularly on turboprop aircraft, often wonder, it is indeed difficult to tell. When the engines start, you may notice the direction of the spin, but, at full speeds, it is almost impossible to differentiate between the clockwise and counterclockwise direction of the spin.
