Freight volumes on the Middle Corridor have grown by 63 per cent. The new figures concern the first seven months of 2024.
According to the government of Kazakhstan, 2,56 million tonnes of goods were transported along the Middle Corridor between January and July of 2024. This is 63 per cent more than during the same period in 2023, when 1,57 million tonnes of goods travelled along the route.
The total freight volume of 2024 is already approaching last year’s end score. Throughout all of 2023, the Middle Corridor saw 2,76 million tonnes of freight be transported on its infrastructure. That number also beat the previous year by 65 per cent, writes Telegram publication LogiStan.
