Worldwide passenger traffic will surpass 9.7 billion by the end of this year, according to the Airports Council International (ACI). This will be the first time it's exceeded this number since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, the ACI released its predictions for the next two decades, where domestic travel alone is expected to surpass 5.7 billion passengers, and international hovering around four billion.
