Ukrainian rail rolling stock manufacturer Kryukiv Railway Car Building Works (KVSZ) will present its new wagons suitable for running on standard gauge infrastructure at InnoTrans. The company is going to showcase two prototypes for Sggrss 80-feet articulated flat wagons at the event in Berlin.
KVSZ started working on the Sggrss 80’ and Sggmrss 90’ flat wagons in the summer of 2022. Throughout 2023, the Ukrainian company received approval from the European Union Agency for Railways as well as the certification for the series production of Sggrss 80’ vehicles. These wagons are being developed for the transport of various container types and swap bodies.
Other than this project, KVSZ has also recently signed a deal with the Lithuanian state-owned rail freight operator LTG Cargo. The Ukrainian company, together with RMF Karpaty, will provide the Lithuanian operator with brand new semi-wagons to expand the transportation of bulk and water-resistant goods.
