Almost 57 000 Australians owe more than $100000 in HECS debts.

The Morrison govt doubled the price of arts, business and law degrees – to over $50 000. Last week in Question Time I asked the Education Minister to reverse that change. I’ll keep asking.

It is incredible how this country deliberately taxes those who seek to build a better life with furthering their education and in doing so make a definitive contribution to the economy and the country.

Why is Australia so backward in that it makes it near impossible or at least penalises people for seeking further education?
