For many, central Asia conjures up thoughts of Genghis Khan and the ancient Silk Road trade route that brought exotic goods from the Far East to the doorsteps of Europe centuries ago. Today, those distances are just as vast, but the arrival of the first ever new ATR 72-600 turboprop will certainly make traversing Central Asia a lot quicker and more comfortable than for those traders.
