The ARA is now calling for nominations for three ARA General Director vacancies (two General Director – Freight and one General Director – Passenger).
Nominations are due to Company Secretary Emma Woods by 5pm AEST Friday 25 October 2024 via the nomination form.
The ARA Board is made up of senior industry leaders that represent all facets of our diverse membership base.
If more nominations than vacancies are received, an ARA member vote will be held in person and by proxy at the AGM in November.
In accordance with the ARA Constitution, General Director vacancies on the ARA Board are to be formally filled at the ARA Annual General Meeting (AGM). The 2024 ARA AGM will be held in person only at the Gold Coast Convention Centre 3.30pm – 4.30pm, Monday 25 November 2024.
The ARA Board meets at least four times a year. Typically, these meetings run for four hours and occur in an Australian or New Zealand city. Additional out-of-session meetings are held on a case-by-case basis and are usually held virtually. Where possible, ARA Board meetings are accompanied by a Board dinner or linked to an ARA event.
In addition, the Board typically holds a strategy day each year to review the ARA’s Strategic Plan and priorities.
