Jacinta Allan and Victorian Labor Party fall behind the Coalition

Our polling data, published in the Herald Sun, reveals a significant shift in voter sentiment in Victoria, driven largely by ongoing financial hardship that began in 2020.

The economic strain, exacerbated by the pandemic and cost-of-living pressures, shows no signs of easing, and it is increasingly pushing voters away from the Labor Party.

Many are turning to independents and minor parties as they seek alternatives. (See the 2PP in the cross tab for those suffering severe financial stress. *margin of error).

Additionally, the performance of the Federal Labor government appears to be negatively impacting the party’s standing in Victoria.

Voter dissatisfaction with national policies, particularly around economic management and support measures, may be contributing to this growing shift away from Labor.
