Former Labor senator Fatima Payman launches new political party

This is NOT a comedy skit.

Former Labor senator Fatima Payman launches new political party called Australia’s Voice.

How is this even possible or legal? Is she an Australian citizen, with only one passport and allegiance to our country only?

It is more likely to be the most un-Australian of Voices.

She has some nerve co-opting that name. She doesn’t represent Australia at all.

The name choice has also upset the organisers of the failed YES campaign for an indigenous Voice.

Double dissolution is the only fair way. Australians need to choose how their country is run, Payman has piggy backed her lot in on false pretences.

But it’s effect may be to further panic some in Labor in its tilt towards policies which try to appease Islamists.

Fatima Payman’s choice to name her party ‘Australia’s Voice’ seems tone-deaf after Australians voted ‘No’ to an Indigenous Voice. Many back Aboriginal rights but rejected the ‘Voice.’ Using this term for political gain feels culturally insensitive and presumptive.
