As you'll know by now, Emirates will extend its daily Dubai-Miami service to Bogotá in June. It will have fifth freedom traffic rights between the Florida city and the Colombian capital. Covering 9,352 miles (15,050 km) each way between the UAE hub and Bogotá, it will become the Middle East giant's longest passenger service. But does stopping in Miami make sense? Yes and no.
