According to investigators, a close call was narrowly missed at Nashville International Airport (BNA), which could have been easily avoided. They stated that air traffic controllers had cleared one plane to the same runway as the other aircraft. It appears that the ATC had cleared one plane to take off while telling another that the opposing aircraft was safe to cross the runway.
