Ben Carroll’s legacy of shocking decision making is hurting communities

9:40 Sunday morning- is this thing actually allowed to roll down South Williamstown Road and turn left onto Francis Street?

Remember Ben Carroll was the minister for roads and road safety, yes you read it correctly and during this time he knew larger trucks were dangerous and he was prepared to allow bigger and bigger trucks at the same time allowing the rail freight networks to be run down across the state.

Whilst Transport Minister he allowed the pulling up of the South Gippsland rail line despite a report being provided about the benefits of the rail freight network to south Gippsland.

It’s absolutely not yet no one can give a straight answer as to why PBS Level 3A’s are present on Williamstown Road when it’s not gazetted for 36.5m MC’s. Breaching road rule 104 on Francis St is a no brainer @QubeHoldings your view?

Communities are being trashed because of current truck policies and more and more damage is being inflicted on the road network and adjacent communities.

  1. No place for those trucks in suburban Melbourne. They should not be on the road at all. Ben Carroll comment is interesting he is a serial under performing minister. In several portfolios he does nothing but virtue signal and take selfies and use one liners. Never makes serious game changing decisions for the better.

As transport minister the portfolio went backwards. As roads minister he introduced the larger trucks no one wants true.

Education is going no where whilst he celebrates mediocrity. The man is useless.

He is not the only useless minister. Jacinta Allan could be worse. There are reasons why she had the major projects portfolio with her CFMEU husband.
