Porter Airlines, the Canadian carrier headquartered at Billy Bishop Toronto Airport (YTZ), has encountered substantial growth following the COVID-19 pandemic due to the welcome of its modern Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. The airline, which was launched in 2006, historically operated exclusively turbo-prop aircraft from the Toronto City airport, but since its introduction of the narrowbody jets, it has moved many of its trans-border E195 operations to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).
