Lidia Thorpe has staged a protest in the middle of a reception for King Charles.
Senator Lidia Thorpe had to be forcibly removed from Parliament House’s Great Hall after screaming “You are not our King” and “Give us our land back” at King Charles in a disgraceful and selfish act.
After the King concluded his address to Parliament, Senator Thorpe erupted in the gallery and yelled at the monarch before she was dragged out by security.
Controversial Senator Lidia Thorpe has unloaded on King Charles in a shocking tirade at Parliament’s Great Hall, yelling out “f**k the colony” and “you are not my King”.
Earlier in the day, she was nearly arrested at an Indigenous protest outside the Australian War Memorial.
A group of some two dozen Indigenous protesters had positioned themselves outside the Memorial, chanting “always was, always will be Aboriginal land”.
Lidia Thorpe proved to everyone in Australia today and the world she is not fit to hold the office of a Senator in Australia.
This is a pivotal moment for Thorpe. The one trick pony has finally undone any remaining respect aboriginal peoples have for her and the wider community.
This shameless exhibition has put back years any real sympathy for the cause she states she supports and sadly she will remain on a salary of $260,000 for years to come.
