BSNL aims to monetise land assets by leasing to data centre players

A new data centre campus is being developed in Leopoldina in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, a large inland state in southeastern Brazil, by two major names in their respective fields.

Philippines-based service provider PLDT is widely reported to be in talks to sell just under 50% of its data centre business to Japanese telecommunications company NTT.

The second Mexican data centre from Brazilian company Odata, a provider of data centre services for Latin America that is controlled by US group Aligned Data Centres, has been reported as having started operations.
