Flinders St Station subway looks like a ‘urinal’

Lord mayor hopefuls are among the many Melburnians calling out the “unacceptable” state of the Flinders Street Station underpass as swathes of brown grime and rust spoil the historic landmark.

This is a disgraceful let down by Metro trains who are charged with the very important responsibility to look after the station and all the customer access.

It needs a good clean and should never have been allowed to emerge into the terrible state.

  1. Has looked grotty for years just needing a bit of a spruce up by the cleaners who should be at the station anyhow.

    Sloppy really.

  2. No pride at all as our Former Lord Mayor Sally Capp has let the city down, it now graffiti infested and now homeless people around the station….

Flinders St Station with Southern Cross are getting neglected appearance wise….

It seems she more for the powerful road transport group than the public transport….

Plus the streets look although the council has stopped cleaning the trash around the place, why are people living in these areas tolerating this who are paying council rates?

They got money for non essential signs changes and flags etc. but not for maintenance of the area’s appearances!
