Etihad Airways, based at Abu Dhabi International Airport, is one of the three biggest airlines in the Middle East. The airline currently boasts a fleet of 100 aircraft and has a further 97 on order. This week alone, the airline took delivery of three new Boeing 787 Dreamliners, increasing its capacity for long-haul operations. Etihad is one of two national carriers of the United Arab Emirates. Founded in 2003, the airline quickly expanded and today has a network of 82 destinations in 47 countries.
