Auburn Basketball Flight Forced To Turn Around After Fighting On The Plane

On Friday, November 8th, an aircraft carrying the Auburn Tigers basketball team was forced to turn around and land back at its departure airport. Allegedly, multiple players on the basketball team began fighting shortly after taking off. The fight caused a disturbance in the cabin, forcing the pilots to turn the aircraft around and land back in Auburn, Alabama, after just 40 minutes of flight time. According to ESPN, the flight was grounded because of a “scuffle” involving two Auburn Tiger basketball players. However, the fight was broken up before it became anything serious. The Auburn Tigers basketball team would depart on a replacement flight later Friday evening.
