On Tuesday, November 19th, a Cargojet Airways Boeing 767 overran a runway at Vancouver International Airport (YVR). According to The Aviation Herald, the Cargojet Boeing 767 was flying from Hamilton, Ontario, to Vancouver, British Colombia, for Amazon Air on Tuesday, November 19th. However, as the aircraft was descending toward the Vancouver airport, the aircraft’s flight crew radioed to the air traffic control tower reporting issues with the aircraft’s flaps. The aircraft touched down at a higher speed than intended, which eventually caused the aircraft to overrun the airport’s runway. The runway excursion caused both of the Vancouver airport’s runways to close.
