Maybe a MSM Journalist should investigate why V/line management failed to manage these events

I am was riding around the system recently and note a few sets were reduced from 5 cars to 4 cars for the older N sets.

As I observed with the older train which remains on Warrnambool and Swan Hill N13 currently has 4 cars, VN19 4 cars, VN14 and FN9 which I got off yesterday 4 cars…..

From information gathered I understand they are fast tracking the withdrawal of N sets and cutting back on maintenance and giving heritage railway groups old N sets why are they doing this in rolling stock shortage when passenger are impacted on Swan Hill when the loco haul is reduced to 3×1 Vlocity Rail Motor?

As for the Warrnambool with the newer time table after 1st December, all day service will be reduced from 5 car loco hauls to Velocities DMU 3×1 leaving the 2 day service either direction, similar to the Gippsland Line.

As what I currently saw recently the stabling yard facilities for the Vlocities have not being installed or activated just yet and the state I understand is broke!

Now Swan Hill line still has locomotive hauled passenger services and they want get rid of that too despite not having a viable longer distance rolling stock plan. Surely it is a critical outcome for a rail company to have a rolling stock plan commensurate with the needs and expectations of the travelling public.

Albury line which has those newer Velocities Standard Gauge is very problematic currently, no buffet service due to staff shortages and 6 cars reduced to 3 cars….

What more can happen?

As a lot people are very unhappy with the decisions of V/line with the management currently, even in vibe from frontline in thick the action on site one notices they are tired and exhausted not say frustrated something’s got to give….

All I write is currently is observations, from my humble opinion, I am sadly seeing a rail system falling apart…..
