The 8th edition of the European Silk Road Summit (ESRS) will begin tomorrow, 27 November, in Vienna. Hundreds of industry players will gather to discuss the latest Eurasian transport trends and share their experiences.
The event will kick off with a site visit to the Metrans’ Hub in Dunaksja Streda, near the Slovakia-Hungary border. After that, there will be networking opportunities during the cocktail reception at the Palais Berg hotel, where the rest of the event will continue on Thursday 28 October.
Thursday’s programme is filled with interesting sessions on the different factors that affect rail freight traffic along the New Silk Road. The main topics which will be discussed include, first and foremost, the key role played by Vienna, a city which has historically been a multicultural crossroad where the Silk Road is gaining relevance. Moreover, we will also discuss sanctions, the rise of new products, the viability of the Middle Corridor and regional challenges.
The 8th European Silk Road Summit will wrap up with networking drinks at the Palais Berg and an exclusive networking dinner at Gerstner-Salons Privés. Last-minute registrations for the events are still possible here, and the full programme can be found here. Don’t miss out on this year’s biggest event about the New Silk Road in Europe!
