It certainly seems the world is heading that way, and now it seems the US Army no longer intends to use the AH-64 Apache helicopter for close air support missions – instead, the service is planning to use them to keep raids into the enemy’s rear. Meanwhile, in the United States Air Force, the A-10 Warthog is set to retire (likely) before 2030.
