After obtaining a private pilot’s license (PPL), there are many routes a pilot can take to continue flying. Many young or new pilots simply rent an aircraft from local owners, many of which are flight schools or other small businesses that can be found at the pilot’s local airport. However, an increasing number of new pilots will purchase their own aircraft. Besides the self-explained benefits of owning one’s own aircraft, such as the ability to fly the aircraft whenever they please and to fly the aircraft wherever they would like, there are many other benefits of owning an aircraft.
