The ATR 72 has become a popular regional turboprop aircraft that can be the perfect fit for many airlines that need to provide regular services to smaller communities. It was developed in France by Franco-Italian ATR (French: Avions de Transport Régional, and Italian: Aerei da Trasporto Regionale).
