This is another setback for those within federal Labor who have been pushing the narrative that their problems in Victoria are solely due to an unpopular State Government.
It seems the same issues are surfacing in New South Wales, South Australia, and even Western Australia – actually the entire country. ( I reckon Resolves numbers for WA may be too pessimistic for Labor). Perhaps there is something else at play here?
Based on our recent MRP, there are approximately federal 11 seats in play in NSW, 6 in Victoria and a further half dozen across the remainder of the country.
As it stands, across all public polls, including this Resolve analysis, we are looking at a hung parliament – but it’s only late December 2024.
