A pharmacy owner has teed off on the current state of St Kilda, claiming her and her staff have never felt as “frightened, insecure and fearful” as they do today in the 35 years they’ve been operating.
Charlotte called into 3AW and was quite emotional talking about what she’s seen in the area in recent times.
“This should be a premium and premier tourist district … instead it’s like third world,” Charlotte said.
I live within a reasonable distance of St Kilda and it is going downhill fast with Crime. It is really bad and I seldom go down that way now. There are crime incidents every day and the shops have been closing up it has run its race now as a suburb it is grotty.

“Everyone is struggling, everyone is on its knees, we just don’t know what to do anymore,” she said.
“Your description was gripping, it was frightening, and I’m afraid it’s all too real,” 3AW host Tony Jones said.
