On January 7th, 2025, Australian aerospace authorities confirmed that a tragic aircraft crash had taken place near Thomson Bay in Western Australia, which involved a seaplane-configured Cessna 208 Caravan that was operated by Swan River Seaplanes. The plane was operating a charter flight (not a scheduled passenger service) when the crash occurred during takeoff and seven individuals were onboard, including the aircraft’s pilot.
