April marks 65 years since the Sud Aviation SE 210 Caravelle entered commercial service. The French jetliner performed its first flight in May 1955. The design included some de Havilland parts designed for its Comet aircraft. On April 26th, 1959, the SE 210 entered revenue service with Scandinavian Airlines. The manufacturer produced 282 aircraft between 1959 and 1972.
