Global passenger capacity has either reached or surpassed pre-pandemic levels. While some regions have shown more growth in the last few years than others, the People’s Republic of China has lacked passenger capacity in the international market. While Chinese airlines have seen a tremendous surge in the domestic market, the global available seat kilometers (ASK) and passenger capacity saw a relatively slow recovery.
