Popular Victorian tourism site confirms plans not to celebrate Australia Day

The Puffing Billy Railway has confirmed they won’t celebrate Australia Day in 2025.

3AW Mornings was sent communication from the popular tourism site, which asks people to instead “reflect on the values of inclusivity” rather than mark the national holiday on January 26.

“Puffing Billy Railway does not celebrate Australia Day,” the communication sent to 3AW reads.

“Instead, we should all choose to reflect on the values of inclusivity, understanding and unity that are central to a multicultural Australia.”

  1. Not sure what will happen with Puffing Billy Railway it doesn’t seem like a wise decision….not to celebrate Australia Day..😳

    I understand you can’t have your own cake and eat it!

    As their funding as international Tourist Icon comes from Australian Tax Payers distributed via state government….
