Ericsson to expand Grameenphone’s backend with AI

Ericsson says it has signed a strategic IT transformation deal with Bangladesh telco Grameenphone to upgrade its backend with what the vendor says is one of the largest catalog-driven charging and mediation deployments in the world, with added AI.

Ericsson said on Friday that Bangladesh telco Grameenphone has completed deployment of its mediation solution that leverages big data analytics to provide better and more useful insights into how Grameenphone’s network is being used.
