AT&T is set to test AST SpaceMobile’s direct-to-cellular broadband service over its premium nationwide spectrum, including 12MHz x 12MHz in the 700MHz band and 25MHz x 25MHz in the 800MHz band.
This is significant because AT&T is not just testing 850MHz (alongside Verizon) but also leveraging 700MHz—a key move for enhanced coverage and performance.
Meanwhile, AST SpaceMobile is ramping up satellite production at its Midland, TX facility, with 200+ employees already on board and plans to expand to 300-400 employees by 2030.
