The Airbus A380 is the largest passenger jet in service today. The Superjumbo was designed for the hub-and-spoke model and is able to handle many of the world’s longest ultra-long-haul routes. However, things are rarely that simple and the A380 finds itself on many high-capacity short-haul flights. The shortest A380 flights are less than 1,000 miles, while the longest non-stop A380 flight is Emirates’ 8,824-mile-long flight from Dubai to Auckland, New Zealand.
