At approximately 08:30 local time on Wednesday, February 26th, a small civil aircraft crashed into the top of Mount Equinox. The aircraft, a Piper PA-28 Cherokee, crashed into the mountain, which is located in a remote area of southern Vermont, near Manchester, Vermont. The area was extremely remote and difficult conditions in the area made it difficult for police, fire, and rescue teams to reach the plane crash site. However, first responders were eventually able to airlift all three occupants of the aircraft to local hospitals. All three of the victims were evaluated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to multiple reports.
