There are significant delays for commuters in Melbourne due to an overrun of planned works.
Trains on the Cranbourne, Pakenham and Sandringham lines were not operating between certain stations on Monday morning, with bus replacements along some routes.
The trains have since resumed however delays of up to 40 minutes remain according to the department of transport.
“Buses will continue to supplement train services as delays ease,” it said.
“Transport Victoria thanks passengers for their patience as crews worked to complete works and safely restore services.”
The delays this morning meant no trains for Spotswood, Yarraville and Seddon passengers. Express services were running but consecutive all stoppers were cancelled, leaving commuters stranded at these stations.
It is now a full metro trains meltdown with many lines stopped, two because of heavy vehicle bridge strikes. There will not be consequences because the person who causes the issues has more rights than the people they inflict the damage on.
